Hardware Recommendations

Strantin works with best-of-class hardware manufacturers who have a reliable history of performance in the surveillance camera industry. Strantin utilizes a strenuous selection process when determining hardware partners to integrate with the Strantin solution. Given the dynamic nature of the IP video market, new hardware with advanced feature sets and functionality are continually being introduced to the market. Strantin selectively chooses partners based on many criteria with the primary focus being on innovation and long-term camera manufacturer feasibility.

Cabling

Strantin is compatible with TCP-IP networks. Cat 5e or higher rated network cabling is recommended.

Switch

Strantin is typically compatible with standard 10/100/1000 network switches. If cameras are to be powered by PoE (Power Over Ethernet) be sure that the PoE switch is capable of providing the PoE wattage required for all cameras on the system. (Check with switch and camera manufacturers for detailed specs.)
